PREVIEW: EDINBURGH v BELLE VUE (WSRA NDL)

EDINBURGH stage their second WSRA NDL meeting of the season when they welcome Belle Vue to Armadale tonight (Saturday).

The Monarchs Academy overcame Middlesbrough in their opener and they now expect a tough test against a Colts side led by Will Cairns and with former Edinburgh riders Danny Simpson and Mickie Simpson named as guests.

They replace Jack Kingston (ill) and Mason Watson (injured) respectively whilst the visitors operate rider replacement for Freddy Hodder who is on Championship duty. At reserve, Harry Fletcher is ruled out and Owen Booth stands in.

Edinburgh manager Scott Wilson said: “They have been shrewd in their choice of guests bringing in plenty of Armadale experience.

“Add these to William Cairns, all able to take an additional rider replacement ride, and it becomes clear we are presented with a tough task on Saturday.

“Regardless of who lines up for the opposition, we must always focus on what we can control – our own performance. If we are to have a successful season, this week’s match is one we must win.”
