PREVIEW: BUXTON v MIDDLESBROUGH (WSRA NDL)

BUXTON bid for a hat-trick of home wins when they host Middlesbrough in the WSRA National Development League today (Sunday).

The Bulls have secured confidence-boosting victories over Oxford and King’s Lynn in the last two weeks to move off the foot of the table.

Jack Smith returns from injury at No.1 for the home side who are at full strength, whilst the Tigers continue to operate rider replacement for Jade Mudgway, and they hold a 22-point advantage for the aggregate point.

Buxton boss Laurence Rogers said: “Middlesbrough are a decent side and are currently second in the table, so we will need to be at our very best for the meeting.

“We’ve won our last two meetings here at Hi-Edge and we’ve been in good form recently, and there is no reason we should fear anyone around our home circuit.

“We welcome back our captain in Jack Smith and that is certainly a boost to the side, and we will be looking first of all to get the victory on the day and if there is any chance of getting the aggregate point then we will go for it.”
