PREVIEW: BELLE VUE v STEELERS + EDINBURGH (WSRA NDL)

BELLE Vue wrap up their home WSRA NDL campaign with a double-header against the Steelers and Edinburgh in the final National Speedway Stadium action of the season today (Sunday, midday).

The Colts are looking to move off the foot of the table and they can do so with one win on the day, whilst aggregate points are also available.

Steelers won the reverse fixture by six points whilst the Monarchs Academy won by ten when they hosted Belle Vue.

The Colts are without skipper Freddy Hodder due to Glasgow commitments, so Dayle Wood and Ben Morley guest in one fixture apiece.

Steelers bring in Senna Summers for Mickie Simpson, and are led by newly-crowned British U19 Champion Luke Harrison, whilst Vinnie Foord stands in for Sam McGurk for Edinburgh.

Belle Vue co-boss Graham Goodwin said: “Six points are on offer on Sunday, and they could make a big difference to the league table.

“Our season has been blighted by injury, illness, rain-offs and rider availability, but we’d really like to finish on a high at the NSS, ahead of our remaining away trips to Middlesbrough and Leicester.

“Thirty heats of league action is also an attractive proposition for fans, so we hope to see plenty of support for the boys. 

“It’s the last chance to see any racing action at Belle Vue this season, so our message to supporters is to come down and get one last meeting in before the winter.”
