PREVIEW: BELLE VUE v SHEFFIELD (WSRA NDL)
BELLE Vue wrap up their WSRA NDL campaign at home to Scunthorpe/Sheffield tonight (Monday) – and also celebrate their top-flight title success.
Aces stars Brady Kurtz, Antti Vuolas and Jake Mulford will be in attendance with supporters able to take pictures with the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership trophy after last week’s victory over Leicester.
And Mulford will step in as a guest for the Colts with William Cairns ruled out due to concussion, whilst Luke Muff and Chad Wirtzfeld return from their own time on the sidelines.
The visitors are expected to be at full-strength and they track the top two riders from Sunday’s British Under-19 Final, Ace Pijper and Luke Harrison.
Colts co-boss Graham Goodwin said: “A win by six points or more will lift us above Oxford into second place in the NDL table and ensure the silver medal will be going around the Colts riders’ necks.
“But of course success at NDL level is not judged solely by silverware. Seeing each rider progress is far more important, and we think it’s been a good season of progress.
“We’re delighted to end our season with a complete team. Chad and Luke had a large chunk of the year taken away by injury, so we’re pleased to have them back for tonight’s finale.
“Everyone is pumped up to end things on a high and we hope to see plenty of support in the grandstand for the boys.”
