PERRY COMPLETES MONARCHS ACADEMY

MAX Perry says the marathon travel schedule will be no concern having agreed to join Edinburgh in the WSRA National Development League.

Perry, who is based in Berkshire, completes the Monarchs Academy side after spending his first two years at that level with Leicester – whilst his debut in the Championship will come at the opposite end of the UK with Poole!

He said: “Edinburgh’s track is one I’m not used to, but I know I will get the right guidance and support to master it. I would love to become more of a small track specialist.

“After not being asked to be back in the Cubs team, and with my average being slightly high, I honestly didn’t think I would be in the National Development League this season, so when Edinburgh contacted me I was thrilled.

“It is going to be about an 800-mile round trip from where I live but I’m 100 per cent committed and will do my very best to help the team get to the top of the table.”

EDINBURGH MONARCHS ACADEMY 2024 (Subject to approval): Connor Coles, Max Perry, Sam McGurk, Dayle Wood, Mason Watson, Kyran Lyden, Mark Parker.
