MULFORD JOINS YOUNG STARS

KING’S Lynn have kicked off their NDL team building with the signing of Jake Mulford to take on a heat-leader role.

Mulford was formerly a squad member with the senior Stars side, before racing for Belle Vue, and he is looking to take the opportunity to put himself in the shop window for a top-flight return alongside his Championship commitments with Redcar.

Young Stars manager Jason Pipe said: “Jake will come into the team at No.5, and I know he will prove to be very popular with his team-mates and the supporters – and because of how close it is to his home, he’ll be able to have more family members and friends to watch him regularly.

“I’m sure this signing will prove to be a popular one, and I’m looking forward to working with Jake in the season ahead.

“I would really like to see him having rides back in the Premiership as soon as possible, because he’s been very unfortunate to lose that Rising Star spot he had in 2025.”
