SPEEDY SCORES WEEK 8 RESULTS

WEEK 8 of the Speedy Scores competition went down to a tie break with 11 entrants involved.

All scored 13 points across the six Sports Insure Premiership last week, predicting one correct scoreline (5 points) and getting the results right from four other fixtures (2 points).

The result which evaded every entrant in the competition was Wolverhampton v Peterborough, with nobody predicting the 45-45 draw after 15 races.

The countback between the 11 top entrants looked at the margin between predicted and actual scorelines for all six matches.

Two entrants – @hickmott_steve and @adamgrant555 were both a total of 32 points adrift, and as @steve_hickmott made his predictions first, he is declared the winner.

Steve was also our Week 2 winner, so it is his second victory so far in Speedy Scores.

His predictions were:
Belle Vue 49 Ipswich 41 (correct), Leicester 51 King’s Lyn 39 (+6), Wolverhampton 53 Peterborough 37 (+16), Ipswich 53 Peterborough 37 (+2), King’s Lynn 43 Leicester 47 (+2), Sheffield 47 Belle Vue 43 (+6).

Along with @adamgrant555, the other players who scored 13 points were: @Fozzie040388, @Nwingrove, @PhilTheAce, @0891fjm, @ellioth4, @9601Jon, @ryananderson136, @Jprentice8 and @krzysdziamski .

Speedy Scores takes a break this week due to the reduced number of fixtures in World Cup week. THe competition will return in week commencing July 31.
