SPEEDY SCORES: WEEK 13
ENTRIES are now open for the final round this season of British Speedway’s popular predictions game, Speedy Scores.
This is a FREE competition on the @SpeedwayGB X (formerly Twitter!) page which gives you the chance to win a pass for two people to attend any Sports Insure Premiership meeting for the remainder of the season.
If the top prize is not won, there will still be a weekly prize of two tickets to one Sports Insure Premiership fixture of the winners’ choice.
All scores are reset at the start of the week so you do not need to have entered in any previous weeks in order to have a chance of winning.
A reminder of the rules and regulations is below, and this week’s fixtures are as follows.
#KLYIPS – King’s Lynn v Ipswich
#PETSHE – Peterborough v Sheffield
#WOLLEI – Wolverhampton v Leicester
#PETLEI – Peterborough v Leicester
#SHEWOL – Sheffield v Wolverhampton
Rules and regulations
This competition will operate on the official British Speedway X account, @SpeedwayGB , and please remember to always use the hashtag #SpeedyScores .
Here’s how it works:
Club hashtags are as follows:
Belle Vue – #BEL ; Ipswich – #IPS; King’s Lynn – #KLY ; Leicester – #LEI ; Peterborough – #PET ; Sheffield – #SHE ; Wolverhampton – #WOL .
- Every Sunday, the Sports Insure Premiership meetings for the forthcoming Monday and Thursday will be posted to the @SpeedwayGB X account. Please note the meeting hashtags, for example Leicester v Sheffield will be #LEISHE .
- Prior to 7.30pm on Monday, you must reply to this posting, starting with the hashtag #SpeedyScores , and then give your prediction for the final result, after Heat 15, of each meeting.
- This means a typical entry post would look like this, if you predicted all meetings to end in a 45-45 draw after Heat 15:
#SpeedyScores
#LEISHE 45-45
#PETKLY 45-45
#WOLIPS 45-45
#IPSLEI 45-45
#SHEKLY 45-45
Scoring and prizes
- The top prize will be awarded if an entrant correctly predicts all scorelines from that week’s fixtures.
- Five points will be awarded for a correct scoreline; two points will be awarded for a correct result (home win/away win/draw after Heat 15).
- If there is no top prize winner, the weekly prize will be given to the entrant with the highest score in that week.
- Ahead of Thursday’s fixtures, we will let you know if any entrant is still in the running with a chance of winning the top prize.
Please note the following regulations and additional points:
- Competition is open to entrants aged 13+ only.
- All entries must include the correct #SpeedyScores hashtag.
- Each week’s competition closes at 7.30pm on Monday. No further entries will be permitted after that time.
- A reminder that there are 90 points available in each match, therefore your range for each prediction is from 15-75 to 75-15.
- At least four matches must be completed in order for the top prize to be won. Any postponed meetings, or matches abandoned prior to Heat 15, will be void.
- The weekly prize will still be available in the event of only one match being completed.
- Super Heats are discounted. You are predicting the scores after 15 races so 45-45 is an acceptable guess.
- Should there be a single ‘dropped point’ in a meeting, this will be settled in favour of the entrant. For example, a prediction of 50-40 will be deemed as correct if the match finishes either 50-39 or 49-40.
- In the event of a tie for the weekly prize, the winner will be the entrant with the best overall points difference from the week’s fixtures between their predictions and the actual results, and if a tie remains the prize will go to the earliest entrant.
- One entry per account permitted. If more than one entry is received from the same account, the earliest entry will be used.
- No changes to predictions are permitted after Monday’s fixtures prior to Thursday.
