SPEEDY SCORES ROUND 1 LEADERBOARD

THE opening round of British Speedway’s new predictions competition, Speedy Scores, concludes tonight.

After the completion of Monday’s Sports Insure Premiership fixtures, we currently have four entrants leading the way, each on nine points.

There were no correct predictions for the match between Leicester and Sheffield, which finished 53-37 to the Lions.

And only one person correctly predicted a score of Peterborough 53 King’s Lynn 37 – well done to @ianscomp .

The Wolverhampton v Ipswich fixture produced more success, with 12 people registering a correct scoreline of 49-41 from that meeting.

The leaderboard now stands as follows:

@hadlington_carl 9

@Rentruck          9

@ianscomp         9

@Wozza5882     9

There are also eight entrants currently on 7 points, who each made one correct scoreline prediction and had one other result correct.

A maximum of ten points are available from tonight’s fixtures – Ipswich v Leicester and Sheffield v King’s Lynn.

The entrant at the top of the leaderboard after tonight’s fixtures will win a pair of tickets to a Sports Insure Premiership fixture of their choice.

Should there be a tie, this will be resolved in favour of the entrant with the lowest ‘points difference’ across all five fixtures when comparing actual scores to predictions. (Eg Prediction of 50-40, actual result 44-46, points difference would be 12).

If a tie persists, the competition will be won by the entrant who submitted their predictions first.

If you didn’t enter this week, look out for the posting on @SpeedwayGB on Sunday evening with the fixtures for Week 2 – it’s FREE to enter!
