SAM’S IMPRESSED BY BRUMMIES

NEW Birmingham manager Sam Ermolenko has applauded the vision of club CEO Nigel Tolley.

The American legend will take charge of team affairs from next season as the Perry Barr outfit step up to the Sports Insure Premiership for the first time in a decade.

And the 1993 World Champion says it was conversations with Tolley about the Brummies’ future that convinced him to join their journey.

Said Ermolenko: “The ambition that Nigel has is encouraging and knowing that the top person in this operation, and the people working alongside him, are so focussed means we can’t really go wrong because we’re having a go.

“We’re just starting, this is the beginning and whatever happens it’s going to be an exciting year for Birmingham Speedway and the supporters of the club with all of the top riders they’re going to see battling it out on the racetrack.”
