PREVIEW: WOLVERHAMPTON v SHEFFIELD (P-KOC)

SHEFFIELD defend an 18-point first leg lead at Wolverhampton tonight (Monday) with a place in the Premiership KO Cup Final at stake.

The Tigers won 54-36 when the sides met in South Yorkshire with the Monmore club now looking to hit back on home territory.

The Sports Insure Premiership clash between the sides in the West Midlands this season resulted in a Wolves win by ten points.

The home side hope to have Rory Schlein returning after missing fixtures last week due to back spasms, whilst the visitors operate rider replacement for David Bellego after a crash in Germany at the weekend.

Wolves star Steve Worrall said: “It is going to be tough. It is quite a big lead that they’ve got on us and it’s a shame we let it slip in those last few heats at their place.

“It’s not impossible though; on our night we can beat anybody by that scoreline that we need in this one.
“We need everyone to keep doing what they have been doing and perhaps a little bit more. We’re going to need to be at our best and if we are then who knows, it might even come down to a big Heat 15.”

Tigers boss Simon Stead said: “Wolverhampton is a really tough place to go to. They’ve got some great riders and they ride their place very, very well.

“18 points is a nice lead to take into an away leg, but the job isn’t done yet, we’ve still got work to do.”

WOLVERHAMPTON: Sam Masters, Steve Worrall, Luke Becker, Ryan Douglas, Rory Schlein, Zach Cook, Leon Flint.
SHEFFIELD: Tobiasz Musielak, Lewis Kerr, Adam Ellis, David Bellego R/R, Jack Holder, Kyle Howarth, Dan Gilkes.
