PREVIEW: WOLVERHAMPTON v KING’S LYNN (Sports Insure Prem)
WOLVERHAMPTON and King’s Lynn are both forced into changes ahead of their Sports Insure Premiership meeting at Monmore Green tonight (Monday).
The home side, who can go back in to second place with a win, are without Luke Becker who suffered a broken bone in his hand in a crash in Poland on Sunday.
They operate rider replacement for the American star whilst the visitors bring in Chris Harris and Nick Morris to guest for Artem Laguta and Michael Palm Toft who are both ruled out.
Meanwhile it’s an all-new reserve pairing for the Stars with new signings Simon Lambert and Anders Rowe making their first appearances of 2023.
Wolves reserve Zach Cook scored double figures in last week’s KO Cup home win over Sheffield, and believes their form around Monmore should continue.
He said: “Sheffield are probably one of the best teams on paper and we put a solid score on them – there’s definitely lots to take away from that.
“If we just keep doing what we have been doing around Wolves then we’re definitely capable of beating King’s Lynn and getting the aggregate point as well.”
Lambert said: “I haven’t been to Wolves many times in last few years, but hey – we go there just like any normal meeting, and we aim to start this new challenge as strongly as possible!
“It’s a tough league but I’m excited for my chance and I will learn so much from it.
“As always, I will give 110 per cent. I’m looking forward to pulling on my new Stars suit for sure!”
WOLVERHAMPTON: Sam Masters, Steve Worrall, Luke Becker R/R, Ryan Douglas, Rory Schlein, Zach Cook, Leon Flint.
