PREVIEW: LEICESTER v KING’S LYNN (Sports Insure Prem)
LEICESTER hand a debut to Troy Batchelor tonight (Monday) as they look to consolidate second place in the Sports Insure Premiership at home to King’s Lynn.
Batchelor has been signed by the Lions to replace Nick Morris who is serving an initial 30-day SCB suspension, and he comes into a team who have won their last six matches.
The Stars are back in action after a self-imposed one week break, and track an unchanged line-up led at No.1 by Artem Laguta, whilst former Leicester captain Kyle Howarth guests for the injured Michael Palm Toft.
Leicester boss Stewart Dickson said: “The approach on Monday will be just the same. I can’t have what happened with Nick at Birmingham last Wednesday affecting Leicester, and that’s why I moved quickly with Troy.
“It’s business as usual. We’ve got a big meeting on Monday, and then again on Thursday, and obviously it’s going to be good to see Laguta riding here.
“I’m looking forward to seeing his clashes with our riders and it should be a good meeting, but it’s another one which we very much need to win.”
Stars manager David Hoggart said: “I’m delighted that Kyle Howarth is available to guest for us, he’s always done well at Leicester in the past and like so many of the riders that have guested for us along the way, he always gives more than 100 per cent.
“With Artem as our No.1, he should be able to do the business around Leicester, so it’s all positive from my point of view in terms of what we can deliver for a good quality speedway meeting.”
LEICESTER: Max Fricke, Justin Sedgmen, Troy Batchelor, Chris Harris, Richard Lawson, Jake Allen, Drew Kemp
KING’S LYNN: Artem Laguta, Kye Thomson, Kyle Howarth, Thomas Jorgensen, Nicolai Klindt, Simon Lambert, Anders Rowe.
