PREVIEW: LEICESTER v BELLE VUE (Sports Insure Prem)

LEICESTER put their recent good form to the test when they host Sports Insure Premiership leaders Belle Vue tonight (Thursday).

The sides drew 45-45 on their previous clash at the Pidcock Motorcycles Arena, Beaumont Park with the Aces winning a Super Heat, and since then they have established a six-point lead at the top of the table.

Meanwhile the Lions have won four of their last five matches to advance to third in the standings, and Drew Kemp makes his official debut tonight after signing as a Rising Star.

Leicester boss Stewart Dickson said: “This is a big meeting and although I wouldn’t say I’m concerned about it, we know it’s going to be very tough.

“We remember drawing with them here and then them winning the Super Heat, and we also have to be mindful of how well they’re riding at the moment.

“But we are also riding well collectively, and we’re really getting things together around our own track.”

Aces star Jaimon Lidsey said: “It went down to the wire last time we went to Leicester, which was a bit disappointing for us considering at one point we had quite a healthy lead.

“But that’s the nature of the sport and this is the Premiership for a reason, and Leicester have shown many times that they are a strong team at home.

“We didn’t have Brady (Kurtz) with us last time and Dougie (Ryan Douglas) came in and did a great job but it will be awesome to go there this time at full strength.”

LEICESTER: Max Fricke, Justin Sedgmen, Richard Lawson, Chris Harris, Nick Morris, Jake Allen, Drew Kemp.
BELLE VUE: Dan Bewley, Tom Brennan, Jaimon Lidsey, Charles Wright, Brady Kurtz, Norick Blodorn, Jake Mulford.
