PREVIEW: KING’S LYNN v PETERBOROUGH (Sports Insure Prem)

KING’S Lynn hand a debut to new signing Emil Breum in tonight’s (Thursday) local derby against Peterborough in the Sports Insure Premiership.

Breum, who has impressed in the SGP2 series this year, comes in at No.2 for the Stars who are missing two riders due to injury.

Rory Schlein guests for long-term absentee Michael Palm Toft, whilst Richard Lawson deputises at No.1 for Artem Laguta who misses out with a wrist injury.

The Panthers are still chasing their first away win of the season, although they went agonisingly close at Wolverhampton last week where they picked up a point for a 45-45 draw before losing out in a Super Heat.

Stars manager David Hoggart said: “We’re excited to see what Emil can do on his debut, and I’m sure the supporters will give him a very warm welcome.

“We are desperate to get another win on the board, and because of Peterborough’s struggles this season, we have to leave the meeting with two more points on our tally.

“But they will be saying exactly the same I’m sure, and on paper they’ve got a useful side so I think we should be in for another cracking night of speedway.”

Panthers star Ben Cook said: “We’re counting down to the home meetings to come, but it’s been tough for us this season, I can’t lie.

“We’ve not been to the strength we want, which is the story of our season really, but we’ve just got to dig deep and try to get a few wins.”

KING’S LYNN: Richard Lawson, Emil Breum, Rory Schlein, Thomas Jorgensen, Nicolai Klindt, Simon Lambert, Anders Rowe.
PETERBOROUGH: Niels-Kristian Iversen, Richie Worrall, Benjamin Basso, Ben Cook, Vadim Tarasenko, Hans Andersen, Jordan Jenkins.
