PREVIEW: IPSWICH v WOLVERHAMPTON (Sports Insure Prem)

IPSWICH and Wolverhampton kick off the second half of their Sports Insure Premiership campaigns with a vital clash at Foxhall tonight (Thursday).

Wolves were victorious on their last visit to Suffolk, a result which helped them into their current second place and also leaves the Witches outside the top four and needing a strong run over the next two months to get back into the play-offs.

The home side are at full strength and Emil Sayfudtinov takes over the No.1 position from Jason Doyle, whilst Keynan Rew is back in the main body of the team with Danyon Hume at reserve.

Manager Ritchie Hawkins said: “Wolverhampton will come to us with great confidence after their result at our place earlier on in the year.

“In that meeting we got ourselves in great positions and kept throwing it away right at the start of the meeting and gave them the opportunity to pounce late on.

“That is something we need to cut out this time and make sure we make every point count and don’t make so many silly errors this time.”

Former Ipswich man Scott Nicholls makes a guest appearance for Wolverhampton, replacing the injured Luke Becker as they look to bounce back from their defeat at leaders Belle Vue on Monday.

Manager Peter Adams said: “Just because you’ve done well anywhere in the past, there’s no guarantee what’s going to happen the next time.

“What’s always important in situations like this is how you bounce back and how you react.

“So we’ll be looking for a big reaction and a much better result.”

IPSWICH: Emil Sayfutdinov, Erik Riss, Danny King, Keynan Rew, Jason Doyle, Danyon Hume, Dan Thompson.
WOLVERHAMPTON: Sam Masters, Steve Worrall, Scott Nicholls, Ryan Douglas, Rory Schlein, Zach Cook, Leon Flint.
