MUSIELAK IS STARS SKIPPER

KING’S Lynn have appointed their new No.1 Tobiasz Musielak as team captain for the coming season.

Musielak is the choice of manager Rob Lyon to lead the Stars into the Premiership campaign, which gets underway with a trip to Leicester on March 21.

Lyon said: “He’s our No.1 he’s an experienced rider, and he’s the best choice for us. He has a great personality in the pits and I really think he’ll be fine, I think he’ll do a great job.

“We do have a relatively new team this year, although of course some of them were with me at Peterborough last season, so it can be a bit of a different mindset when you’re making this decision.

“But when I sat down and thought about it, I really felt it made sense. Tobi is the best choice, and giving him that extra responsibility will hopefully spur him on.

“He’s done a great job in British Speedway in the last few years and there’s no reason why he can’t continue in that vein with us this season.”
