LIDSEY’S SIGHTS ON IMPROVEMENT

BELLE Vue star Jaimon Lidsey is targeting further improvement as the Aces seek to regain the Sports Insure Premiership title this year.

Aussie ace Lidsey was one of the big movers in 2023, putting over two points on his starting average having returned to the club after a previous campaign in their colours back in 2019.

He said: “It was great to be back racing for Belle Vue. It had been a long time coming, as I was down to be racing back in 2020 but then Covid put paid to those plans.

“It was always going to take some time to get going after being away for nearly four years but once I found my feet I felt good, everything worked well, and my average shot right up.

“Although we didn’t make the Final, we had a fantastic season. We were the most consistent performers and we finished top of the Premiership as a result.

“The team dynamic was amazing and the supporters were so welcoming, and I’m looking forward to another fantastic year.”

*Belle Vue are in action on the opening night of Premiership action this year, as they visit Leicester on Thursday March 14, before staging the prestigious Peter Craven Memorial at the National Speedway Stadium on March 18.
