BRUMMIES SNAP UP LAMPART

POLISH prospect Wiktor Lampart is the latest rider to join Birmingham for their move back into the Sports Insure Premiership.

It will be the first time the 22-year-old has raced in the UK leagues but he arrives at Perry Barr heavily recommended and with a fine track record of previous success at Under-21 level, and top-flight Polish experience with Lublin and Torun.

Brummies CEO Nigel Tolley said: “The fact we’ve been able to attract a rider of Wiktor’s potential to Birmingham says a lot to me.

“He has been on the radar of several Premiership teams for the past couple of years, but we made our move and we got our man.

“Of course racing in British Speedway is going to be very different for Wiktor and it may take him a bit of time to settle down, especially on the away tracks.

“But he’s a very exciting rider to watch, he’s certainly got the talent and the capability and he’s one of those riders I think we’ll see more and more of as each week goes by.

“Wiktor is certainly prepared for next year, he’s already been working extremely hard in the off-season and I expect him to be very a popular member of the team.”
