WITCHES TARGET KO CUP HONOURS

IPSWICH co-promoter Richard Coleman is excited to see his side reach the Premiership KO Cup Final in the very early stages of his time in charge.

The Witches won the southern section against King’s Lynn and Northampton, and will now face holders Leicester in a battle for the silverware this summer.

Ipswich will host the first leg of the Final on Monday July 27, with the return in the East Midlands on Thursday July 30.

Coleman said: “It has been a fantastic start to the season for the team and it would be an incredible moment if we can win the first piece of Premiership silverware of 2026.

“We appreciate that the (home) meeting is not taking place on a Thursday night, with the Lions handed the second leg, but we hope our fans can pack Foxhall on a Monday night and create a great atmosphere as we bid to build up a strong aggregate lead to take to Leicester.

“It’s hugely exciting to be preparing for the Premiership Knockout Cup Final just months after Mayfield completed its takeover of the club.”
