STARS SKIPPER IN POSITIVE MOOD

KING’S Lynn captain Nicolai Klindt is confident his intensive winter fitness drive will pay dividends as he returns from injury this season.

Klindt has seen his last two campaigns wrecked after crashes and has only raced once since mid-June, but he expects to be fully firing for the start of the Stars’ ROWE Motor Oil Premiership campaign in March.

And he’s added further meetings to his schedule by joining Championship side Plymouth, with the Gladiators having an April start to their campaign.

Klindt said: “My plan is to go to Lonigo in Italy at the start of March for three or four days, and then the following week we will have Niels’ (Iversen) Testimonial and also our press day around that time.

“But I’ve been physically active since September, where I’ve been doing cardio, strength work, gym and everything, and I’ve also been on a nutrition plan.

“I feel really good, both physically and mentally and I’m now really excited for the coming season, and I’m looking to score the points to make a name for myself, that’s the plan for ’25!”
