SPIRES TARGET WITCHES REVENGE
OXFORD boss Peter Schroeck insists the Spires can overturn ROWE Motor Oil Premiership leaders Ipswich when they meet this week.
The Witches are the only visiting club to win at Cowley in the top-flight this season, with the Spires having come out on top in several other close fixtures on their own circuit.
And ahead of this Thursday’s action, Schroeck is optimistic of turning the tables especially with Polish star Maciej Janowski now getting to grips with life back in the UK.
Schroeck said: “Maciej is now on different machinery and it’s taking him in the right direction. No-one is harder on Maciej than himself, and you can see how much effort he is putting in – he works very hard.
“Ipswich are the one away team that we have won at Oxford this season. But if our lads all perform we can make sure that doesn’t happen this time around.
“The last few home meetings have provided incredible entertainment and I don’t see this match being any different.”
