PREVIEW: OXFORD v BELLE VUE (ROWE MOTOR OIL PREM)

OXFORD bid for a third straight ROWE Motor Oil Premiership victory when they host champions Belle Vue tonight (Thursday).

The Spires finally got off and running in 2025 with their Bank Holiday home and away double against Birmingham last week, and a further win would give them another major boost.

Meanwhile the Aces start the meeting third in the table, level on points with Sheffield, but looking for a response to their heavy defeat at Owlerton last time out, and they hold a 16-point advantage for the aggregate point.

Oxford have switched their riding order with Erik Riss taking over the No.5 berth, Peter Kildemand now forming the opening combination with skipper Maciej Janowski, and British Final runner-up Charles Wright is teamed up with Rohan Tungate.

Spires boss Peter Schroeck said: “It was great to get the two wins over Birmingham and put five points on the board. Those points have put us right back in the picture.

“Going forwards, we can only take it one step at a time. The next two meetings for Spires are at home, to Belle Vue and Sheffield, and the bread and butter is to win your home meetings.

“We are aiming to defeat the Aces. We beat them twice around Oxford last season, and we will look to make the most out of our home track advantage.”

OXFORD: Maciej Janowski, Peter Kildemand, Charles Wright, Rohan Tungate, Erik Riss, Craig Cook, Luke Killeen.

BELLE VUE: Brady Kurtz, Norick Blodorn, Jaimon Lidsey, Zach Cook, Dan Bewley, Tate Zischke, Jake Mulford.
