PREVIEW: OXFORD v BELLE VUE (ROWE MOTOR OIL PREM)

OXFORD bid to boost their ROWE Motor Oil Premiership play-off hopes when they face second-placed Belle Vue at Cowley tonight (Thursday).

The Spires currently hold fourth spot, four points ahead of Leicester, but they have raced three matches more than Leicester.

And the previous visit of the Aces provided one of a long list of dramatic finishes at the Sandy Lane venue with Rohan Tungate and Chris Harris racing to a 5-1 in Heat 15 to snatch a 46-44 win.

Speedway of Nations winner Dan Bewley returns to action for Belle Vue, but they are forced into two changes at reserve.

Finnish racer Antti Vuolas guests for the injured Tate Zischke, whilst Jake Mulford steps into the Rising Star berth with Connor Bailey taking time out.

Oxford boss Peter Schroeck said: “Belle Vue will want to prove a point after the way they were pipped at Oxford in our previous clash, and they have Brady Kurtz riding for them this time around, so they will present a challenge.

“But a few of our boys have found a bit of form and hopefully we can make things a bit easier for ourselves and take a good victory.

“We’re coming off the back of a fabulous team performance at Birmingham last week and we want to take that momentum forwards.”

OXFORD: Rohan Tungate, Drew Kemp, Maciej Janowski, Charles Wright, Chris Harris, Erik Riss, Ashton Boughen.
BELLE VUE: Brady Kurtz, Norick Blodorn, Jaimon Lidsey, Ben Cook, Dan Bewley, Antti Vuolas, Jake Mulford.
SCB Referee: Gary Allen
