PREVIEW: NORTHAMPTON v BELLE VUE (ROWE MOTOR OIL PREM)

ROWE Motor Oil Premiership leaders Belle Vue make their first trip to newcomers Northampton tonight (Thursday) on a packed race-day which sees all six top-flight clubs in action.

The Aces are five points clear at the top of the table and take a healthy advantage to the Shaleway for the aggregate point – but manager Mark Lemon has stressed they will be a targeting a second away win of the campaign.

The Foxes pulled off a draw at King’s Lynn on Monday in their first match with their complete team in attendance, and they are at full strength once again for the clash with the Aces.

There is one change for the visitors as Sam Hagon comes in to guest for Will Cairns, who is on SGP2 (World Under-21) duty in Sweden with that series getting underway tomorrow.

Foxes manager Chris Adams said: “It’s definitely not going to be an easy night, and Belle Vue will certainly be coming to try and add to their total at the top of the table.

“But I know that if our guys perform, we are more than capable of getting the win. I felt the result should have gone our way on Monday, and I can’t fault my side’s efforts at all.”

Aces boss Mark Lemon said: “I think it’s exciting for us to go down there, it’s a fresh new track and we’re all looking forward to it.

“It’s a case of normal service for us, and our ambition remains the same. We go into the meeting with the intention of winning, and we monitor as it goes with how the team is performing on the night.

“If we can’t win then we keep it as tight as possible because we know the aggregate point is also at stake, with the home win behind us.”
