PREVIEW: KING’S LYNN v IPSWICH (ROWE MOTOR OIL PREM)

EAST Anglian rivals King’s Lynn and Ipswich clash in a huge ROWE Motor Oil Premiership contest at the Adrian Flux Arena tonight (Monday).

The hosts are three points behind the Witches in the league standings having raced one match more, and they urgently need maximum points from the meeting – including turning around a 13-point margin for the aggregate point.

Lynn hope to be at full strength pending a return for Jordan Jenkins at reserve, whilst the visitors bring in Anders Rowe to guest for the injured Scott Nicholls, Rowe having scored heavily in a recent visit to the AFA with Sheffield.

King’s Lynn manager Rob Lyon said: “We know what an important meeting this is, and it’s one that we obviously need to win and get the aggregate point.

“If we can do so, it will be all to play from that point on, so in some ways it will feel like a bit of a KO Cup Final or a play-off final for a play-off place!

“We’ll see what happens. The boys are up for it, they rode well at Sheffield last Monday and we’ll be going for it once more.”

Ipswich boss Paul Hurry said: “This is an important one – like every match is. Hopefully the boys can hit the ground running and have a good meeting. The track is good – it’s always good at King’s Lynn. Hopefully they can get settled in and do what they know they can do.

“Everyone has ridden there. They all have experience of riding at King’s Lynn. Let’s face it; they have all been going pretty well recently, so as long as they are confident and everything works, there is no reason why we can’t get a result.”
