PREVIEW: KING’S LYNN v BIRMINGHAM (ROWE MOTOR OIL PREM)

KING’S Lynn and Birmingham both have the incentive of the chance to move up the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership table ahead of their clash at the Adrian Flux Arena tonight (Monday).

The sides are level on four points in the bottom two places, but a win tonight would move either of them above Oxford and into fifth spot.

It’s the beginning of a busy period for the Stars with a number of crucial matches ahead, and they have Norick Blodorn guesting for the injured Ben Cook whilst Luke Harrison takes over in the Rising Star berth for Ashton Boughen.

The Brummies have won their previous two matches, including a dramatic triumph over champions Belle Vue at Perry Barr last week, and they continue to operate rider replacement for Michael Jepsen Jensen, whilst skipper Tobiasz Musielak returns to the club with whom he had a brief spell in 2024.

Stars captain Nicolai Klindt said: “We have three home matches on the bounce now, and a couple away, and it’s definitely a lot of meetings in the next period.

“We have five within three weeks and there are some tough ones, but we definitely need to get at least six points out of them.

“It’s going to be tough at Sheffield and it’s going to be tough at Belle Vue, but everyone is beatable which we have seen lately, for example Birmingham beating Leicester, and Leicester beating Ipswich away.”

Brummies CEO Nigel Tolley said: “The wins against Leicester and Belle Vue really have changed the atmosphere around the place.

“To be fair to the team, they’ve kept their spirits high even when results weren’t going our way but you can tell how much the wins meant to them.

“We’re on a bit of a roll and we’d love to be able to keep that going at King’s Lynn.”

KING’S LYNN: Richard Lawson, Norick Blodorn, Nicolai Klindt, Chris Harris, Niels-Kristian Iversen, Jan Kvech, Luke Harrison.
BIRMINGHAM: Michael Jepsen Jensen R/R, Paco Castagna, Tobiasz Musielak, Keynan Rew, Matej Zagar, Jonas Jeppesen, Jason Edwards.
