PREVIEW: KING’S LYNN v BELLE VUE (ROWE MOTOR OIL PREM)

KING’S Lynn have lost the services of Polish racer Patryk Wojdylo for their run-in to the end of the season starting at home to Belle Vue tonight (Wednesday).

Wojdylo broke his hand in a weekend crash in Poland and will miss the Stars’ remaining fixtures – three of which are at the Adrian Flux Arena, where he has performed strongly this season.

Tonight they face the Aces who wrap up their regular ROWE Motor Oil Premiership campaign ahead of the play-offs next month.

Richard Lawson, Chris Harris and Drew Kemp make guest appearances for the Stars, who have captain Niels-Kristian Iversen back in the team, whilst the visitors operate rider replacement for Brady Kurtz who is out with rib damage.

King’s Lynn boss Rob Lyon said: “We’ve got Richard again, riding at No.1 for Jan (Kvech) because he’s away in a Czech Ekstraliga match which we can’t change unfortunately, which wasn’t on the calendar when we looked at it, so that’s one of those things really.

“Richard had another great score for us last Thursday against Oxford, and Bomber will come in for Nicolai (Klindt) against Belle Vue.

“As we aren’t in with a chance of the play-offs it does take the pressure off a little bit, but the team gave 100 per cent last week and now we move on to the next one.”

Aces CEO Mark Lemon said: “First and foremost, we have accomplished what we set out to do and that is to make the play-offs this year.

“It was disappointing, after such a fantastic fightback in the home leg, to lose as we did at Sheffield, but I think we have plenty to work with come the semi-finals.

“But that is finished now. We have one final job to do at the Adrian Flux Arena and we’re in the perfect position to take all three league points.”

KING’S LYNN: Richard Lawson, Benjamin Basso r/r, Chris Harris, Drew Kemp, Niels-Kristian Iversen, Lewis Kerr, Anders Rowe.
BELLE VUE: Dan Bewley, Norick Blodorn, Jaimon Lidsey, Ben Cook, Brady Kurtz r/r, Antti Vuolas, Jake Mulford.
SCB Referee: Gary Allen
