PREVIEW: IPSWICH v SHEFFIELD (ROWE MOTOR OIL PREM)

IPSWICH have called up British Grand Prix winner Dan Bewley to make a guest appearance in tonight’s (Monday) top-of-the-table televised encounter with Sheffield.

The Witches lost the leadership in the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership last week when they were beaten at home by Leicester with the Tigers defeating Birmingham at the same time to overhaul the Foxhall side.

Bewley comes in for the injured Emil Sayfutdinov with rider replacement in operation for Jason Doyle, whilst the hosts are also without Adam Ellis who suffered concussion against the Lions, with Troy Batchelor called up to guest.

The Tigers again operate rider replacement for Tai Woffinden, and they have a narrow two-point advantage for the aggregate point.

Ipswich boss Ritchie Hawkins said: “I am delighted that Dan is coming to do a guest booking for us and it will be great for everyone to watch him twice this week.

“We bring in Troy as well to replace Adam and he took the call late, but he knows the club really well and is in great form, he is flying. It is good we can call on him and we will come out strong.

“Leicester are making a great run to finish top, but we have been the top two teams this year and it is a meeting that we can still go into with confidence thinking we should win at home with the side we have put out.”

Sheffield skipper Kyle Howarth said: “It’s been a solid year for us. We’re in the play-offs and the next step is to finish as high as we can.

“It’s coming towards the business end of the season now, so we want to be on form.”
