PREVIEW: IPSWICH v KING’S LYNN (ROWE MOTOR OIL PREM)

ROWE Motor Oil Premiership leaders Ipswich look to extend their 100 per cent start to the season when they host local rivals King’s Lynn today (Monday).

The sides meet at Foxhall for their traditional Bank Holiday clash at 2.15pm, and it’s a fixture the Witches have dominated in recent years.

With three home scores of 60 or above so far this season, Ipswich are full of confidence whilst Lynn themselves gained a big 59-31 victory over Oxford last week.

The Stars operate rider replacement for the injured Ben Cook, whilst Chris Harris takes over at No.1 after his excellent start to the season and captain Nicolai Klindt is now at reserve.

Ipswich manager Ritchie Hawkins said: “The season has gone perfectly, so far so we can’t wait to get back on track.

“Bank Holiday meetings at Ipswich are always a great atmosphere with a big crowd and the weather looks brilliant.

“It’s a local derby and the atmosphere is always brilliant in these meetings, and I’m sure everyone involved in the club is really looking forward to this one.”

King’s Lynn boss Rob Lyon said: “I was very pleased to see the result and performance last Monday. It was a convincing win with everyone scoring well, and that’s what this team is built to do at home.

“I’m confident we are more than capable of getting a result at Ipswich on the back of that performance, but of course we respect their impressive start to the season so far.”
