PREVIEW: IPSWICH v BIRMINGHAM (Prem)
IPSWICH welcome Aussie star Jason Doyle back into action in tonight’s (Thursday) ROWE Motor Oil Premiership clash with Birmingham.
Doyle missed the Witches’ win over Belle Vue last week as his wife was giving birth, but he now returns to a full-strength side looking to make it two victories out of two.
The Brummies are unchanged from their dramatic opening-night meeting with champions Sheffield, where they took their first league point despite losing out in a Super Heat.
Ipswich manager Ritchie Hawkins said: “We are delighted to welcome Jason back and have our first meeting as a full team, and we will stay with the same riding order.
“It is great to have Birmingham back in the top league and they will have a warm welcome from us, and I’m sure all the fans are looking forward to seeing a new club and some new talent on show.
“Having watched a lot of Vaclav Milik and Wiktor Lampart, they will certainly provide a lot of entertainment at Foxhall.”
Brummies boss Sam Ermolenko said: “Ipswich is always a tough track to go to and we’re not going there thinking it’s going to be any different for us.
“We’ve already had a chat about what types of set-ups they’re going to need for there and we’ve just got to go there and see what it’s about.”
