PREVIEW: IPSWICH v BELLE VUE (ROWE MOTOR OIL PREM)

IPSWICH and Belle Vue clash at Foxhall tonight (Monday) ten days after their last ROWE Motor Oil Premiership encounter went down to a Super Heat.

A terrific contest in Manchester last week ended 45-45 before the Witches won the deciding race, and they are currently four points clear at the top of the table.

The Aces need one more win to mathematically guarantee their play-off place, with a priority to improve their away results against the sides around them in the top four.

Both teams are at full strength with the Witches continuing with the revised rider order they utilised against Oxford last week.

Ipswich manager Ritchie Hawkins said: “We had a cracking meeting up there last week and there are three points up for grabs tonight for the winner.

“Belle Vue are a very solid team and maybe haven’t done themselves justice in their first two visits to Foxhall this season.

“We are getting right down to play-off time now and I’m sure their performance will be a lot better this time, and it will be a tough meeting for the boys.”

Aces star Dan Bewley said: “I’m looking forward to Ipswich. We weren’t there too long ago. It’s quite a cool spot, I like it there. 

“There’s always a good crowd, pretty different track, pretty technical. 

“A few riders it’s just a matter of time before they click. I don’t know when that will be, but we’ve all been through that type of thing.”
