PREVIEW: BIRMINGHAM v KING’S LYNN (ROWE MOTOR OIL PREM)

BIRMINGHAM stage their penultimate meeting at Perry Barr tonight (Monday) as they host King’s Lynn in the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership.

The Brummies are on a run of six straight defeats – but their last victory did come on the Stars’ previous visit at the end of June.

Meanwhile the visitors are looking for a strong end to the season having suffered a heavy home defeat to Leicester last week just days after losing to the same opponents in the KO Cup Final.

Birmingham name their full-strength team whilst Lewis Kerr comes in for King’s Lynn to guest for Ben Cook, who is due back in Thursday’s return fixture.

Brummies star Paco Castagna said: “The fact that we have already beaten King’s Lynn gives us a bit of hope.

“We all want to win in these pits, and I know that we are going to come out and start fresh because it is a new meeting. We will do our best, but we know we need to do better.”

Stars manager Rob Lyon said: “We’ve got to come back from last week’s defeat to Leicester and redeem ourselves a bit for our supporters and sponsors.

“That performance just wasn’t good enough, and the boys know that. We need to put it right this week.”

BIRMINGHAM: Tobiasz Musielak, Jonas Jeppesen, Keynan Rew, Paco Castagna, Matej Zagar, Ben Barker, Sam Hagon.

KING’S LYNN: Jan Kvech, Niels-Kristian Iversen, Chris Harris, Richard Lawson, Nicolai Klindt, Lewis Kerr, Luke Harrison.
