PREVIEW: BIRMINGHAM v KING’S LYNN (ROWE MOTOR OIL PREM)

SWEDISH star Fredrik Lindgren makes his home debut for Birmingham in their ROWE Motor Oil Premiership clash with King’s Lynn tonight (Monday).

Lindgren, the current World No.2, hit double figures for the Brummies in his first appearance at Ipswich in the KO Cup recently, and he now lines up in the league at Perry Barr for the first time.

Said Lindgren: “I’m new in the team here and I do want them to do better.

“I do hope I can influence the other guys and lead from the front.

“I had some practice laps after the last meeting there and it felt good so I’m looking forward to my first races there.”

The Stars will hope they can maintain their recent momentum despite the bad news over Nicolai Klindt’s injury.

Adam Ellis comes in to guest for the Dane whilst Rohan Tungate was already booked to replace Tobiasz Musielak.

Manager Rob Lyon said: “We were solid last Monday against Oxford, and that’s the way our team was built at the start of the year. It’s much, much better than it was.

“It’s like anything, when you get a bit of momentum going in any sport then the team responds, so it’s onwards and upwards.”

BIRMINGHAM: Fredrik Lindgren, Tom Brennan, Justin Sedgmen, Wiktor Lampart, Steve Worrall, Piotr Pawlicki, Leon Flint.
KING’S LYNN: Rohan Tungate, Benjamin Basso, Adam Ellis, Niels-Kristian Iversen, Jan Kvech, Patryk Wojdylo, Anders Rowe.
SCB Referee: Mick Bates
