PREVIEW: BELLE VUE v OXFORD (ROWE MOTOR OIL PREM)

CHAMPIONS Belle Vue have the chance to go top of the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership tonight (Monday) if they can post a convincing home win over Oxford.

The Aces have won two of their three matches so far, just missing out at Leicester on Thursday, whilst the Spires are yet to get off the mark.

Belle Vue are at full strength whilst Oxford welcome Erik Riss back after a week out with a shoulder injury, but Peter Kildemand is still sidelined and Dan Thompson comes in to guest.

Aces boss Mark Lemon said: “I know it’s a cliche but there really aren’t any easy meetings in the Premiership.

“We know what Oxford’s riders are capable of; Rohan (Tungate) and Charles (Wright) can be very good at the National Speedway Stadium and that makes them dangerous.

“When you add in the likes of (Maciej) Janowski, Erik Riss and guest Dan Thompson, they are a strong side.”

Oxford manager Peter Schroeck said: “I understand the fans are not happy, but I am working with these guys to turn this hard start into a positive.

“It is a long season which is unpredictable, and nobody knows what the outcome will be. I fully back my team to turn this around once we are a full unit again.”

BELLE VUE: Brady Kurtz, Norick Blodorn, Jaimon Lidsey, Zach Cook, Dan Bewley, Tate Zischke, Jake Mulford.

OXFORD: Rohan Tungate, Erik Riss, Charles Wright, Dan Thompson, Maciej Janowski, Francis Gusts, Luke Killeen.

SCB Referee: Paul Carrington
