PREMIERSHIP PLAY-OFFS UPDATE

BELLE Vue will kick off the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership play-offs with the home leg of their semi-final on Monday September 8 (7.30pm).

The defending champions have finished fourth in the league table and will take on the leaders in the last-four tie.

Their opposition is yet to be decided as it will depend on results over the coming week, with Ipswich currently top and Sheffield the only team who can overhaul them.

The Tigers visit King’s Lynn on Monday (September 1) before back-to-back matches against the Witches with the top two meeting at Owlerton on Wednesday (Sept 3) and Foxhall on Thursday (Sept 4).

Whichever of Ipswich or Sheffield finish top, they will travel to the National Speedway Stadium on Monday September 8 and then host the second leg on Thursday September 11.

Leicester will finish second or third in the table depending on results next week, and their semi-final – which will be against either Sheffield or Ipswich – will take place on Monday September 15 and Thursday September 18 with the order of meetings to be confirmed.
