KEMP: A NO-BRAINER TO RETURN
DREW Kemp has been handed an unexpected late call back into the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership with Leicester.
The Lions have confirmed a change of plans which sees a return for Kemp, who lost his place in the side last May, after Craig Cook informed the club he was unavailable to ride.
And Kemp, who attended their press day on Thursday, says there was never any chance of him turning down the opportunity.
He said: “I don’t think I’ve ever signed up for a team so late, but it’s another opportunity for me to get going.
“Getting into the top league was one of my aims this year, and getting back to Leicester was one of my aims, so I’ve done that.
“Stewart (Dickson) has given me the chance, and now I just need to take it with both hands and show what I’m capable of, which I know I can do.”
