JACK BACKING TIGERS’ TITLE QUEST
INJURED No.1 Jack Holder is backing his Sheffield team-mates to ‘make it happen’ as they chase Grand Final glory – starting with their home leg against Belle Vue at Owlerton this Thursday.
The Tigers have progressed through from the play-off semi-finals for the first time since 2023 – the year they won their maiden Premiership title.
Now Holder, who has been on the sidelines since mid-June but has been boosted by a wild card nomination for next year’s Grand Prix series, is looking to see them overcome the Aces with Max Fricke booked to guest for him at No.1.
Holder said: “The War of the Roses throughout the whole year is always something different – but we’re into the Final now.
“Anything can happen now; it all comes down to 30, maybe even 31, heats. I think we need a big performance at home, which the boys have shown they’re capable of doing.
“I want to say congratulations to all the boys in the Sheffield team, I wish I could’ve played a bigger part in helping get us here, but they’ve got two meetings now to go and make it happen.”
