HAWKINS: ADAM IS ‘ELL OF A SIGNING

IPSWICH manager Ritchie Hawkins has praised the early impression new signing Adam Ellis has made on his return to Foxhall.

The former British Champion is back with the Witches a decade after previously racing for the club at Championship level.

Ellis experienced a tough season at Sheffield last year, losing his place with the eventual champions, but he made a good start to this year’s ROWE Motor Oil Premiership campaign with 7+1 in the win over Belle Vue last Thursday.

Hawkins said: “Adam had a tough Heat 1 last week but then improved every race and I am pleased with how he has come into the side.

“He has lit up the place with his personality, it is like he has never been away, and he has been away a long time, but you would never think it!”
