BRUMMIES PLAN TO GO AGAIN

BIRMINGHAM CEO Nigel Tolley says he’s already making plans for 2025 – despite awaiting confirmation of whether they’ll be back on track or not next term.

The Brummies’ chief has revealed his team will only be able to come to the tapes next year in the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership if greyhound racing continues at Perry Barr.

He is currently waiting on communication from stadium landlords but says he is hopeful of good news soon.

“The current situation as things stand is that if the greyhounds are at Perry Barr next year, we shall be riding,” Tolley said.

“If the greyhounds aren’t at Perry Barr next year, we can’t afford to take over the stadium just to ourselves.

“I’ve just got to confirm with ARC (Arena Racing Company) that they’re going to be there next season, but I don’t think they know for sure yet.

“But certainly I would like to officially be building a team as soon as possible.”
