WITCHES PLANNING THEIR REBUILD

IPSWICH promoter Chris Louis says the club’s team building plans for 2022 are well underway – and is hoping to make rider announcements later this month.

The Witches failed to reach the Premiership play-offs this year with the result that their campaign ended in early September.

Louis said: “Ritchie (Hawkins) and I have pretty much been non-stop since before the end of last season, which unfortunately is quite a while ago now.

“We were so well-supported and have a really loyal fanbase and we didn’t give them what they deserved by any means.

“We fell well short for reasons already publicised and we will work hard to reward them for their support and hopefully increase that support.

“A lot of work has already been done and we are very happy with the progress with the team, there are just a few t’s and i’s to cross and dot, but we hope to be in a position to start making rider announcements towards the end of November with a view to season ticket sales starting on December 1.”
