PREVIEW: WOLVERHAMPTON v SHEFFIELD (Prem)

WOLVERHAMPTON skipper Rory Schlein missed tonight’s (Monday) televised Premiership encounter with Sheffield at Monmore.

Schlein is recovering from a thigh injury sustained at Glasgow on Friday, and is aiming for a comeback within a fortnight.

In the meantime Wolves will operate rider-replacement whilst the Tigers are at full-strength after their win in last week’s reverse fixture.

Wolves promoter Chris Van Straaten said: “I want the boys to go out there and win it for Rory.

“We know what a strong team Sheffield have and in riders like Jack Holder they have world class talent.

“Kyle Howarth knows Monmore inside out so we know we’ve got a tough task on our hands.”

Sheffield star Troy Batchelor said: “It’s always a tough place to go and they’ve got a strong side.

“It’s another tough one for us. We’ll go there and give it our best shot, a point would be nice but it would be even better to get the win away from home.

“I’m just pleased to be back racing, I’m pleased to be with Sheffield and it’s an exciting season ahead.”

WOLVERHAMPTON: Sam Masters, Luke Becker, Nick Morris, Ryan Douglas, Rory Schlein R/R, Broc Nicol, Tom Bacon.
SHEFFIELD: Troy Batchelor, Justin Sedgmen, Adam Ellis, Kyle Howarth, Jack Holder, James Wright, Josh Bates.
