PREVIEW: KING’S LYNN v SHEFFIELD (P-KOC)

KING’S Lynn will be without skipper Josh Pickering for tonight’s (Monday) KO Cup clash with Sheffield at the Adrian Flux Arena.

The Stars are awaiting news on Pickering’s shoulder injury following his crash at Berwick on Saturday, and bring in Simon Lambert to guest as the Australian was dropping to reserve this week.

The Tigers travel with a 26-point advantage from the first leg and are still without broken collarbone victim Tobiasz Musielak, with Richard Lawson coming in to guest after his fixture for Leicester at Wolverhampton was postponed.

King’s Lynn co-promoter Dale Allitt said: “It’s all about building momentum at home after our win against Wolverhampton last time out.

“We certainly haven’t given up on the tie as anything can happen on the night, and hopefully we can make a good start and push on from there.

“Losing Josh would be a big blow at any time with what he brings to the team, but especially now as he was going to be dropping to reserve, and we’ll have to wait and see what the hospital say about the injury.”

Tigers boss Simon Stead said: “We’re going there to try and win on the night. Just because we’ve got a very healthy lead in the tie, our attitude won’t be any different to any other meeting.

“We’ll be giving them the respect they deserve but we’ll be going about our own business in the same manner we always do, and it’s a great opportunity for us to move forward in the competition.”

KING’S LYNN: Nicolai Klindt, Thomas Jorgensen, Frederik Jakobsen, Krzysztof Kasprzak, Michael Palm Toft, Simon Lambert, Jason Edwards.
SHEFFIELD: Jack Holder, Kyle Howarth, Richard Lawson, David Bellego, Adam Ellis, Lewis Kerr, Dan Gilkes.
