MULFORD IS STARS’ No.8

KING’S Lynn have named local youngster Jake Mulford as their No.8 stand-by rider for next season’s Premiership campaign.

Mulford made his senior debut with Kent in the Championship this year and also rode for the same club in the National Development League where he was a high scorer.

Stars boss Alex Brady said: “I’d spoken to Jake as soon as I knew the No.8 position was in play for 2022, but had limited information to offer.

“It came about the day before our team announcement, where I spoke to Jake again, and could explain a bit more what it’s all about.

“Jake actually works for Olly Allen in his day job, so Dale (Allitt) and Olly also had a conversation and we all agreed it made perfect sense for him to get that experience, and grow with the team.”
