EASTER MONDAY PREVIEW

BELLE Vue and Wolverhampton stage what has become a traditional Bank Holiday double with League Cup clashes at both venues today (Monday).

The sides meet at the National Speedway Stadium at midday before heading down the M6 for the return at Monmore Green at 8pm.

Both teams are unchanged but Wolves have switched their riding order with former Aces skipper Steve Worrall now forming the opening combination with Sam Masters, whilst Nick Morris takes over the No.5 berth.

Meanwhile Southern group leaders Peterborough host King’s Lynn at the East of England Arena with an early start time of 5pm.

The Panthers have Simon Lambert guesting for Benjamin Basso, who is on Danish U21 duty, whilst the Stars are racing for the first time this season with winter signings Josh Pickering, Richie Worrall and Jack Thomas making their first appearances.

The meeting is also the first leg of the Colin Pratt Memorial Trophy with a trophy to be presented to the aggregate winners after the return fixture on Thursday.

Tributes will continue to be paid throughout the Easter weekend to writer and broadcaster Nigel Pearson after his tragic passing on Friday.
