CHAPMAN HAILS LYON RETURN

PETERBOROUGH owner Keith Chapman says the return of Rob Lyon as team boss is good news for the sport.

Lyon, a former GB manager, worked extensively with Chapman at King’s Lynn when the Stars enjoyed a run of sustained success in the former Premier League.

He was tempted back into the sport last winter with the Panthers only for the move to be put on hold due to the pandemic.

Chapman said: “It’s exciting to see Rob Lyon back in the sport as team manager.

“We had great times together at King’s Lynn when Rob established himself in the history books when we were in the second tier with trophy after trophy, and I would love him to win a trophy with Peterborough.

“The season is almost here, and I can’t wait for it. I agree with Chris Louis at Ipswich when he says it will be a competitive league.”
