BELLEGO RETURNS WITH TIGERS
SHEFFIELD will bring French star David Bellego back to British racing for a second spell with the club next season.
Bellego rode for the Tigers at Championship level in 2015 and went on to win the Premiership title with Swindon in 2017, before having a further spell with the Robins as injury cover two years later – and also won Sheffield’s 90th Anniversary celebration event at Owlerton.
Since then, he has performed strongly on the continent with regular appearances in the FIM Speedway of Nations and the European Championship.
Sheffield co-owner Damien Bates said: “We’ve actually been looking at David for a while now.
“He’s a rider who’s always impressed me whenever he’s been to Sheffield and he’s a top-quality rider in my opinion.
“I feel he could make a massive difference to Sheffield next year and I think it’s a cracking signing for the team.”
