STRONG WIN FOR ACADEMY

EDINBURGH made it back-to-back home wins in the National Development League with a 52-37 victory over Kent at Armadale.

Adam Roynon scored a 12-point maximum whilst both Kyle Bickley and Jacob Hook scored 13+1 and were unbeaten until Royals’ No.1 Ben Morley won the last race.

Morley top-scored for the visitors with 10 whilst their other wins came from Tom Woolley, Rhys Naylor and Connor King.

Monarchs Academy boss Scott Wilson said: “The team were excellent, exactly what I was looking for. The top three were all unbeaten until Heat 15, and they did their job on and off the track.

“They helped the others, and when Kyle Bickley had a machine problem the first out offering a machine was Jacob Hook. It’s a real team.”

Kent manager Jamie Willis said: “A frustrating night in which things didn’t quite go our way. Once again individuals impressed but as a team unit, we fell short.”
