SCHROECK: GOOD SIGNS FOR NDL
OXFORD boss Peter Schroeck says the future is bright for the National Development League as the third-tier campaign gets into full swing.
Schroeck’s Chargers side launch their season at home to Leicester – who knocked them out in the play-offs last year en route to the title – at Cowley on Wednesday.
And there is also huge interest in the revival of Workington, with the Comets set to go into action for the first time at Northside on Saturday against Edinburgh.
Schroeck said: “We really enjoyed going wheel-to-wheel with Leicester last year. Not only were the fixtures great for the development of our riders, but they also created a brilliant spectacle for the fans.
“I’m confident we’ll get more of the same this year. And with Workington re-joining British Speedway’s third tier, there has never been a better time to get behind the future stars of our sport.”
