ROYALS REIGN OVER MONARCHS ACADEMY
KENT wrapped up their home campaign with a 48-41 win over Edinburgh to move up to sixth place in the NDL standings.
Four riders hit double figures for the Royals with Ben Morley (12) and Tom Woolley (11) being backed up by impressive youngster Ashton Vale with 10+1 and Nathan Ablitt with 10.
Max Clegg scored 16 points against the club with whom he had a stint last year, and Jacob Hook contributed 10, but the Monarchs Academy had to be content with the aggregate point.
Edinburgh boss Scott Wilson said: “Ultimately, it’s a disappointing day as the target in the camp was to win the match.
“We made things difficult for ourselves again with some falls and a retirement when in scoring positions, and ultimately it was too much to overcome.
“We’ve come away with the aggregate point, which was the minimum objective today, but we all wanted the win.”
